Rick and Teresa Witte have been actively involved in Akitas since 1991 beginning with our dog Ch Yezo's Fort Apache "Max".
We branched out from attending a few shows a year to handling both our own dogs and other people's dogs at shows
all over the country. Before having kids, we would go to dog shows every weekend handling Akitas, Goldens, Ridgebacks,
Borzois, Briards and many other breeds. Now that we have four kids, we only go to close shows or specialty shows.
We are members of the Akita Club of America, the Lone Star Akita Club and the RRCUS. Teresa was the Secretary
for the LSAC for about the past 10 years and currently is the Treasurer. Rick is an Attorney and has done articles and
presentations on Akitas and dog ownership. One presentation was "Documenting your Dog Deals" for the
Akita Club of America. Teresa is now a "Home Manager" or another way of say a "Stay at home Mom".
Rick grew up in Kewanne Illinois and graduated from Knox College for his undergraduate degree and University of Iowa
for his Law degree. Teresa grew up in Rancho Palos Verdes, California and graduated from The University of Texas
with a Business Degree. We met in Houston, Texas and have been here ever since.
Not only have we put championchips on our dogs, we also have Obedience titled Akitas. Before our 4 kids,
Teresa used to train and show in obedience. I put a CD (Companion Dog) on

Since we started breeding in 1995, we have bred 53 Akita Champions, four of them coming from our first litter
(Uno, Dottie, Kanani and Harpo). With Gable finishing in December 1999, their mother "Chessie", received her ROM.
We are most proud of our first Champion, "Uno". He finished 1999 Number 5 Akita and was consistantly in
the rankings for four years. In May 2004, Uno became a ROM (Register of Merity) with his 10th kid
finishing her championship!
We have had an Akita in the Top 10 Akitas in the US every year since 1998, including Uno 1998 - 2000,
Mochi 2001 & 2002, Summit 2003, Atom & Cuervo 2004, Cuervo #1 in 2005 & 2006 and
Georgia in 2007 & 2008. Currently Georgia is number 4 in 2009.
We have bred and owned many Best in Specialty Show Winners, Best in Show Winners, Multiple Group
Winners and Register of Merit Akitas and a National Best in Show winner .
In Ridgebacks, we have bred 12 Ridgeback Champions and many Lure coursing champions/titled ridgebacks
with very limited breedings. Teresa got her Mom, Susan into Ridgebacks with her first RR "Allie".
My Mom has a deep love and dedication to the Ridgeback breed and now does all the whelping and raising
of the Ridgeback puppies. Teresa still loves to show and finish their championship. We have very few
breedings and breed a litter once every year or two. All of our puppies are raised in the house with lots of
socialization and care.

On September 11, 2001, (The September 11th) we were blessed with our first baby,
Joshua McKay Witte.
December 3rd, 2003 we were blesses with our second boy,
Zachary Thomas Witte
On February 1, 2007 we had twins
Madison Ann Witte and Jacob Alan Witte
